Hi everyone,

I’m selling one of my VPN concentrators (3005) with 64 Mb of ram (most of VPN concentrators 3005 comes with only 32), so this VPN concentrator can deal with more VPNs and is faster than the regular ones.

I’ll only ship to European countries, if anyone is interested please unicast me (put a note in the Contact form and I’ll get back as soon as possible).

Here is an output from the VPN Concentrator 3005:

Hi everybody,

There is another video in the Tutorial area showing how to configure a PIX Failover using Qemu with Active/Standby option. Enjoy it

Well it took some time for me to post this because I was kind of busy with a load of things to do but I finally managed to finish the video for that, the next one will be for MARS soon.

Just need to go to Tutorials and check out for the new video for NAC, enjoy it!!!

I would like to congratulation my student Gustavo Correa for passing the R/S exam this week and receiving his CCIE number of #21346.

After a long coaching from my side and a hard work from his side he managed to pass this exam at his first attempt, congrats you really deserve it now get some rest and deserve the new numbers :-D

Below you can see his testimonial:

I received my CCIE number this past Monday 30th of June and I just wanted to thank Anderson Mota Alves for their help in my achieving this goal. To help prepare I relied heavily upon bootcamp with him. I highly recommend these bootcamp to anyone who is seriously studying toward achieving their CCIE, thanks Andy!!!!

Hi everybody,

I finally had the time to finish a 8 hours CCIE Security Lab and then I went through all the lab explaning how I’d do that, I was using only emulated routers, ips, pix (using udp tunnel mode) this seems to be the more stable version so far available and the only product I could not emulate so I own one is the VPN Concentrator 3005.

Well the videos will be available here for download for free (they are huge in size so please be patience when downloading, I’m also giving the Lab with Initial Configs, so if anyone wants to do that using real equipments or machine just change a little bit the initial config and Good Luck !!!!

I hope you all like the lab and for those who wants to lab it up, ENJOY IT !!!

To download the lab click here:

Here you can find the INITIAL Configs

The Videos are available by Sections: (to save them click on “Save Target as”)

Section 1: Firewall - download

Section 2: IPS - download

Section 3: VPN Part 1 - download VPN Part 2 - download

Section 4: Identity Management - download

Section 5: Advanced Security - download

Section 6: Network Attacks - download

To see the videos I recommend using Camtasia Player, this will increase the quality of the video dramatically

Doubts and suggestions

Hi everybody,

For those that are having problems configuring something or stuck in some task regarding routing or in Security area or even want to know how to configure something let me know with comments what topics I should focus on, so I would try to release the new videos and some explanation as soon as I can…

Thanks and enjoy (THE COMMENTS BUG I HAD ON MY WEBPAGE HAS BEEN FIXED !!!)

Hello everyone,

Today I’ve just finished a new video showing how to install an ASDM into your emulated PIX (using the tap method, explained before). So go to Tutorial to watch it and have some fun!!!

Hello everyone, tomorrow I’ll be posting a video that has almost 1 hour in length and I’ll be showing how to put all the parts together, PIX, ASA, IDS, ACS, XP and Dynamips (A full Security gear with the exception of a VPN concentrator - sorry but this cannot be emulated).

So keep an eye on the Tutorial section for the new video, I hope you enjoy it. This will be the last video on emulation from now on I’ll be posting technical information and video on how to configure things.

To download the bat files as my examples click here

This is the second method and I need to say that this is my favorite method from now on (I would love to see this working with pcap option, but this method is still not stable at moment). So I will be adding a video on how to emulate PIX using with tap interfaces.

I will be uploading the video in a while, so check it out in the tutorial section
