New workbooks to be released from Netmetric Solutions

Hi everybody,

I’m proud to announce that a new release of the CCIE SECURITY workbook (based on the new hardware and software changes) and R/S workbook will be out soon!!!!

Also I’ll be uploading some videos for NAC and MARS in a short time !!!

Hi Andy,

You lost me - who made some hardware and software changes? Netmetric or the Cisco lab? I saw a posting on some CCIE blog where they heard the Security lab topology is to change mid-February 2009. And, I know Netmetric has a v2 of their Security workbook. So, is Netmetric putting out a v3 of their Security workbook? I’m just lost as I don’t understand why a new Netmetric workbook is coming out if the Cisco lab topology hasn’t changed for a year+, and isn’t to change for another 1/2 year or so.

Hi Sean,

At moment whe are just adding some new question under tech labs and releasing new Super Labs, the main idea now is to split the workbook into two and sell Tech Labs separately from the Super Labs and we will give a discount for the bundle (what it’s actually the workbook).
About the hardware changes neither Netmetrics or Cisco has changed it yet, but we are planning on new labs without the VPN_C or PIX since they will get them out next year. We are still studying the possibility of adding some hard NAC tasks since we have heard they are about to come for next year.. Thanks for the support I hope you have liked the first mock lab for Sec.

Hi Andy,

Your videos of emulated labs are veryfull usefull & i appreciate your effort.
Could it possible for you to upload emulated video for the other superlabs of Netmetric Solution.
if you upload it to Netmetric student login webpage ,i will download from there.

Thanks, about the superlabs from netmetric I don’t have the intention of doing them on the emulated thing right now because I’m writing the workbook for R/S plus R/S Tech Labs so I can’t find time at the moment for doing them.. sorry about that but it should be the same idea as from my first Super Labs.. Soon I will be uploading some videos on some section for Security Labs.
